Divine Nature #5

Divine Nature #8

I am not going to completely publish all of my lesson because I simply don't want to type it all out (sorry)  but I will share my idea and the scriptures and quotes I used if you would like to teach a similar lesson.  This is a lesson I taught on Sunday and used as a write in PP for Divine Nature.  Here is the paper I gave the girls to glue in their journals.  I printed these as half sheets.

Here are the scriptures and quotes we used to discuss Eve.

Divine Nature #1

I made the girls a "worksheet" for this.  We are going to skim the Proclamation for divine qualities to add to our list since we have read it so many times.  I printed this on both sides of their paper so I only used on sheet of paper.  we are actually going to take 10 or 15 minutes at the beginning of mutual and get the worksheet completed.

I found this super cute graphic to write divine qualities on!

Divine Nature #3

Divine Nature #3 is very easy to get your girls started on.  There's no reading to do first, there are no list to make, all they have to do is choose a family member and work on it for 2 weeks.  I didn't leave a space to put the family member's name because I encourage the girls to hang these reminders somewhere they will see them often and I don't want the family member to see it and know they are being targeted!  We are doing this the first 2 weeks of February so I made it seasonal.  I am just going to hand these out on Sunday and then I like to remind the girls on Sundays and at Mutual that they are supposed to be working on a goal so they don't forget to get it finished up.

Divine Nature #6

This is just a worksheet I made so we could easily work on Divine Nature #6 as a group.

Faith #4

For Faith #4 I made this card for the girls to keep in their scriptures and mark off each time they took the sacrament.  I put enough info so they could read it quickly and remember exactly what they were supposed to do as they partook of the sacrament to complete Faith #4.
I took this quote from this article I read about Elder L. Tom Perry's funeral.  The quote is near the bottom in the section "final messages"  I printed this quote on card stock so they could put it in their scriptures and reference it frequently.  I also made sure it was small enough to put in a compact set of scriptures.

Choice & Accountability #3

I started from this blog.  I changed part of the invitation so we could read the shorter scriptures together with the girls and printed them off so they didn't have to bring their scriptures on mutual night.

And I made a page for them to journal!

Mother's Day - Personal Progress- Lemonade

We are planning an activity to celebrate Mother's Day.  We are using the idea from Ann's blog as our inspiration.  I made handouts for the stations.  Our girls to the best at journaling if we have them do it while they are at the activity and then they just glue their papers in their journals.

Mother Eve

As Young Women leaders we were discussing the world's view of Eve based on what we learn in Genesis and how horrible it is that people blame Eve for the fall and think she was some stupid, naive woman.  We felt that it reflected poorly on our divine nature to not be enlightened about Eve's role in the plan of salvation.  I was chosen to give a Sunday lesson on Eve.  I used a number of resources from lds.org as well as the scriptures.  I didn't really write out a solid lesson.  I started by asking the girls to tell me about Eve and the fall as it is written in Genesis.  Then we just jumped into my reading handouts.
